Eugenia Serrao, born in Rome on 28 August 1971, graduated in law at Universitą di Roma-La Sapienza in May 1997 with a thesis on transeuropean networks.

She has carried out her research in Brussels at DGVII, in Ispra (Italy) at DGIX and in Leuven at Faculty of Law.
After her graduation, she did some research on international children rights' law.

In 1998 she was entitled to teach in Italian primary schools and has dedicated her attention to some aspects of the Reggio approach in pre-school education.

Since Oct. 2001, she is teaching Italian in some primary schools in Nottingham, on behalf of the Italian Consulate in Manchester.

In 2003 she got the CACHE (Child Care and Education) diploma from Broxtowe College to work as nursery nurse in UK nursery schools.
She worked from Sept. 2003 to July 2006 as an assistant teacher in primary schools in Nottingham.

In the same period she was also lecturing Italian language at Broxtowe College.

After coming back to Italy, she is teaching English and Italian for non-native speakers in a private school in Terni (from May 2009).
